Former Nigerian president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo met with President Goodluck Jonathan in the Presidential Villa behind closed doors on Sunday.
Chief Obasanjo was among Christian faithful who were at the Aso Rock Chapel to join president Goodluck Jonathan for the Sunday worship.
Also present was the President of Benin Republic Mr. Boni Yayi.
They were reported to have attended the Sunday school classes as well as the children’s church.
After the service, Jonathan and his visitors had lunch together at the Villa, during which they discussed national issues as well as developments in the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Meanwhile the President also held another secret meeting with about 16 governors at the First Lady’s conference room.
President Jonathan entered the venue of the meeting at exactly 9:25pm
Agenda of the meeting was speculated to be the PDP crisis and the faction that has emerged within the party.
Governors in attendance include Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu (Niger), Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso (Kano), Isa Yuguda (Bauchi), Murtala Nyako (Adamawa), Idris Wada (Kogi), Liyel Imoke (Cross River), Godswill Akpabio (Akwa Ibom), Abdulfatah Ahmed (Kwara), Emmanuel Uduaghan (Delta), Ibrahim Shema (Katsina), Murkar Ramalan Yero (Kaduna), Garba Umar (Taraba Acting Governor), Seidu Dakingari (Kebbi), Theodore Orji (Abia), Ibrahim Dankwambo (Gombe) Jonah Jang (Plateau)
Other key figures in the meeting are Joe Gadzama, Anyim Pius Anyim and Col Sambo Dasuki (NSA).
