Eagles star may be unveiled today
Super Eagles forward, Emmanuel Emenike will earn 2.4 million Euros a year as a Fenerbahçe player according to various media reports in Turkey.
Both Russian club Spartak Moscow and Fenerbache have reportedly agreed a transfer fee of 13 million Euros for the 2013 AFCON top scorer. The former Karabukspor of Turkey forward will be unveiled all things being equal on Wednesday. Emenike was quoted at the weekend by a Turkish newspaper,Sabah as dreaming of returning to Fenerbahce.
“My dream is to play for Fenerbahce,” Emenike was quoted as saying.
“When I was playing for Karabukspor I always told myself I would play for Fenerbahce one day but when I finally achieved my goal I was forced to leave.
“Since then I have always hoped of returning to Fenerbahce.”
The Yellow Canaries released an official statement on the Istanbul Stock Exchange confirming that negotiations are underway.
Spartak manager Valeriy Karpin said, “If somebody wants to leave we don’t want to keep them locked up.”
Fenerbahce signed Emenike from Karabukspor for €9 million in 2011 but the Nigerian international was sold to Spartak for €10 million without playing a single game for the Yellow Canaries.
