The Madam Tinubu hall of University of Lagos (UNILAG) was gutted by fire today, October 12.
According to the Nation, the fire started around 4a.m. Sunday morning.
It was gathered that a student used a hot plate to cook and put it under her bed without totally putting out the heat.
The fire started from the room and spread to other rooms, luckily, no life was lost before the fire was put off.
However, a few students were injured when they tried to jump from their windows to escape the fire.
The students reportedly had to resort to using pure water to put out the fire because there was no water in the hostel.
