The Acting Governor of Adamawa State, Ahmadu Fintiri is the PDP gubernatorial candidate for the 11th October 2014 election in the state. Mr. Fintiri defeated other aspirants in the primary election held in Yola, the state capital, on Saturday. pdp primary election
Fintiri defeated 5 others with 624 votes while the current Executive Secretary of the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) came second with 197 votes. Others in the race include former Lagos/Borno military administrator, Buba Marwa who got 54 votes; Umar Ardo (member of the State Assembly), and Jerry Kumdiisi who scored 9 and 4 votes respectively.
