Pregnant woman jumps out of burning building
Over the weekend, a pregnant woman in Turkey felt she had no other escape route from a burning building except to jump. Thankfully, a group gathered below to catch her.
While the flames, which seem to have resulted from an earlier explosion, could be seen in the windows below, the woman jumped from the second floor as smoke billowed around her. Those on the ground held a sheet taut to help cushion her fall.
The woman, who was more than eight months pregnant according to an unofficial translation of a report by Siirt Haber Ajansi, was taken to the hospital where she was kept for observation due to trauma. An official said she is no longer in danger of premature birth.
