Reacting to the defection of the former Aviation Minister Femi Fani-Kayode to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) one of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governors said they never trusted Fani-Kayode.
The opposition party leader, who pleaded anonymity speaking with Punch, claimed they had always treated him “with caution” thinking he might “betray” them.
“He went to have a meeting with President Goodluck Jonathan without informing anyone about its outcome. So, such a character has to be cleverly avoided.”
Meanwhile ex-minister accounted his defection for APC’s alleged Islamic agenda and its leaders “playing politics”.
Welcoming Fani-Kayode to the ruling party, PDP said that it was another proof that the APC remained a party “of bloodthirsty, religious and ethnic bigots averse to the unity of the country”.
