The Ogun State police Command on Monday announced that it has arrested a politician who allegedly battered wife, Victoria Awosanya. Days back, the news about Mrs Awosanya who was seriously assaulted and injured by her husband, Bashorun Bayo Awosanya of Sagamu in Ogun State made headlines.
In a statement signed by the Ogun State PPRO, DSP Muyiwa Adejobi, it was disclosed that the suspect personally reported himself to the Sagamu Divisional Police Officer, CSP Lawal Adebowale, around 8 am on Monday due to the threats issued and pressure mounted on him to show up before he would be declared wanted by the police.He was later transferred to the Department of Criminal Investigation for further questioning. Ogun State police say they plan to charge him to court.
