The Nigerian Senate President David Mark on Friday escaped an attack by gunmen in Orlu area of Imo State.

Mark lamented that the attack happened a moment when a great philanthropist like Sir John Richar Anyaehie was being buried, adding that such attack on him should not have happened in the area…
The Senate Present who had just returned from Switzerland where he attended conference, went to Nkwere, a town in Imo State, to attend the burial ceremony of late business mogul, Sir Anyaehie.
Mark advised Nigerians to always prepare for their death by being humble and godly like the late Anyaehie and noted that the deceased life united people of Nkwerre, Orlu Senatorial Zone and Imo State at large.
